Dr. Haleh Bakshandeh (aka Dr. B.)
Board-certified dermatologist, esteemed skin specialist + personal dermatologist to our founder, Molly Sims
Recognized for her high-quality skin care to patients in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Haleh Bakshandeh is a leading dermatologist who provides customized treatments in medical, pediatric and cosmetic dermatology.
She received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine with Research Distinction, followed by a residency at Miami where she received an award for Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Bakshandeh treats a wide range of skin conditions, such as alopecia, eczema, adult and teenage acne, sun damage, psoriasis, hair and nail disorders, and skin cancer. She performs skin cancer screenings, treatments for expecting mothers, and cosmetic care for more youthful results, without plastic surgery.
Dr. B. and Molly met about 15 years ago, when Molly walked into her office for a derm appointment. They quickly connected over shared interests of skincare + beauty, and found they were at similar life stages. Since then, they have stayed bonded both personally and professionally, as their chapters of womanhood have paralleled – from dating to marriage to pregnancy, and now, balancing business and motherhood.
Over the years, they have supported each other’s businesses by filming educational videos for both their social channels and most recently, Dr. B. joined Molly on her beauty podcast, Lipstick on the Rim.
“Molly actually pushed me to start showcasing my work on social media. She's always been a really big supporter of mine, and a huge advocate for female-run businesses. She motivated me to take my social media presence to the next level, and recognized the value of sharing knowledge with the masses. And that's all Molly.”
Now, as Molly has founded her own skincare brand, Dr. B. excitedly partners with YSE Beauty to provide expert advice, answer skin questions and offer guidance to our community.
